Zuki looked up and there stood another male captain she didn't praticularly like. "Ah, Raul, I see you actually managed to get out of bed and over to this part of Seireitei!" She clapped her hands in mock applause. "Brilliant, absoutely brilliant." Zuki waved her hands in arogance. "No not all of us can bother to come to a manditory meeting but I am ab-so-lute-ly sure that you have the best excuse in the world!"
Today things had started good, then went to bad, then to ugly, she just didn't have enough energy to be nice. "Anyways, Soutaichou, are you sure you're alright? We could assist you back to your squad."

It wasn't too uncommon to see the Soutaichou in a coughing fit, however coughing up blood was something he didn't see the man do quite often. The only time he had ever seen someone cough blood was while fighting, but fighting and sickness are quite different from each other. He listened to the Soutaichou's insistant attempts to hopefully calm the rest of the Captain's down as to his illness, however he was still the Soutaichou.
"Uh, Saburo San? Do you need to take a bit of a rest perhaps?" He didn't know the exact details of the illness, however rest always seemed to be something good, hopefully it wasn't a bad question in this case. He easily heard Kyohaku suggest assisting him back to his own squad for support, however he didn't think the Soutaichou would give up so easily.
Turning over he heard another voice, identifying it with Raul, who always seemed to sleep in or miss something. He laughed a bit to himself with Kyohaku's snippy questions to him before interjecting his own. "Well, missing almost half of the Captains at a Captain's metting isn't bad at all is it?" He raised an eyebrow towards Raul before rumuging around the papers he held. In a matter of moments, he produced a small stack of papers folded neatly inside of a khaki folder. "Its what you missed, and do your homework." He chuckled again, this time he couldn't help it.

Saburo chuckled at Zuki's interaction with Raul. He wondered briefly if he came up with some sort of excuse but decided to just forget it and listen in. Besides, it was much more comical to watch them argue than to think of what they might do. He was glad at least when Kyoko handed the sheet containing the info on the meeting to Raul.
Looking at the group, he smiled and spoke again. "Ah, it's okay. This usually happens. I'll be fine" he told them, preferring that they did not worry. "Although, if you insist, I suppose I could let you escort me back in case it gets a tad bit worse" Saburo told them as he began to walk towards the 1st Division barracks, hand to his mouth in case he started coughing again.
"And don't worry Raul-san, you don't have to be so formal with me" he told him briefly as he walked back to his barracks.

Raul chuckled. "There's no need to worry, it's not as if Sakata's going to die on your doorstep Kyoko. Although...if he does..." He left the sentence open, joking with him. He turned to Zuki. "As for you, young lady, I've no excuse at all. The only thing I can say is, had I woken up on time..." He smiled, "I would have skipped it anyway. What is the point in going when I can simply read up on it, later?" He waved the packet at Kyoko, "Thanks for that, by the way..."
Gazing at his fellow Captains, he gave a quick evaluation. The soutaichou was double his age, which is a testament to his strength. However, he possessed none of the sternness of Yama himself, which Raul enjoyed.
Kyoko was a new Captain. He was shy, and often judged himself too much, in the eyes of Raul. He was around 1/5 the age of Raul himself, and thus, Raul tended to look at him as a younger brother, or a student, when they spoke.
Zuki herself was a mystery to Raul. He remembered what had happened, and why she was so cold much of the time, but she seemed to channel this in many ways. Raul was actually quite fond of her, in that she was both skilled with a blade and smart as anyone he knew, but she had the habit of looking down on his sloth, which meant she hated him, overall. She was younger than him, but that didn't stop her from scolding him.
He was happy, though, that his status as a noble held no sway to their opinions of him. He had always felt that being a Shihouin would be a bother, because everyone would be prim and proper, but these three, at least, broke that mold...

Zuki frowned. "Young lady...my-" She stopped, cursing would've been nice but she didn't think it was the right time. "That is complete lack of responsibiliy." She pouted. "Do you think, Raul, that because of your noble blood you can shirk even the most important responsibilities?" She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. "Oh well, it's not my problem." She shrugged.
Zuki followed Sakata. "Renamori, you should come to, just incase something should happen." She walked swiftly to Sakata's side.

Kyoko looked back and forth as the little bit of tension gave rise to a few snide remarks if thats what they could've been called. It was almost a bit childish come to think of it, however it was indeed funny none the less. Something about the two just didn't seem to mix as they continued to take pokes at each other back and forth. Kyoko was left slightly dumbfounded at the end of it all, however quickly came to as Raul took the papers from him.
He simply watched as Raul took the folder and quickly realized what he had said earlier about the reports. Being so lazy and uncaring wasn't anything a noble should be doing. They should be setting an example and here him as well as his other Captains were doing just that. Just because he was a noble didn't mean he had a privilage. "I hope you come next time or there might not be a report for your desk." He spoke in a slightly sarcastic tone before hearing Kyohaku interupt the slightly tense air.
He simply nodded as she suggested for him to escort the Soutaichou back to Division One headquarters where his own Division could better attend to his problems there. It was a bit of a concern to see the Soutaichou in such a state and Kyoko wondered how long the man could put up with it. Not that he would wish ill of the Soutaichou, it just bothered him slightly. "Of course...Zuki Chan." It was a bit hard to get used to, however she herself suggested to stop thinking so low of himself. It would be odd to see how her advice would play out.

Saburo chuckled as the others bickered over Raul attending the meetings. He'd prefer it if Raul actually did come but still, it was funny for now at least. Besides, he'd probably come next time. Saburo hoped.
As he walked, he decided to voice his own opinion on the matter. Not even turning to look him in the eye, he spoke. "Just remember Raul, you might not like what is on the agenda of the meetings. And if you don't show up, you can't complain because you chose to shirk responsibility. At least if you came, then maybe a decision you didn't like would be fixed. Besides, I doubt Kyoko wants to give you the info all the time" he added to Kyoko's comment.

Raul chuckled. "Oh, I don't find much to complain about. After all, if I shirk responsibility, nothing I do is authorized. The meetings have no effect on what I do. Of course, maybe my subordinates would stop complaining..." He shook his head. "Look, it's not that I do this to be lazy, or because of my family. In fact, you saying that is quite insulting." He glanced at Zuki. "I only work for things I care about. If a meeting isn't of the utmost importance, don't expect me to be there..." He sighed. "Though, I suppose it would make it easier for me to make conversation with you. After all, it seems this is always what we end up talking about, whenever I show my face..." He smiled at Kyoko. "And Kyoko, even if you don't print me a packet, I'll still find out, one way or another. After all, if it's that important for me to know, you lot don't want to be down a Captain."
He enjoyed annoying Zuki and Kyoko like this, and he doubted Sakata cared as long as it didn't effect what was really important. "So, Zuki, how is the research going? I've heard from some of your members that you and the Lieutenant have been pretty secretive about it..."

Zuki giggled slightly at Kyoko's response, she'd never heard him say something like that, but she rarely heard herself giggle either so the day was getting rather odd. Hdidn't seem very used to her yet, but not many people were, even she herself had to admit that she wasn't the most welcoming person.
Zuki listened carefully to the Soutaichou's response, if it were her she'd let someone else take care of telling him or let him do the work on his own. It's not that she hated Raul, she just highly disliked him. He spoke to her, asking about her labs. Zuki scoffed, "Oh, research is going fine I suppose, we've all been very busy. As for being secretive, we're always secretive in my line of work. If you tell people what you're up to, it's more likely that they'll get in the way."

Raul still seemed a bit of a mystery to Kyoko to understand and comprehend. He knew a little bit of his past, but that still didn't merit him not coming to the Captain meetings at least. Well, at least the ones of actual importance, but skimping out on them all the time? That was just plain rude and wasn't really doing his Division a favor if he wasn't kept up to date. It was starting to irritate him slightly, however he tried not to let it get to him.
Rolling his eyes, Kyoko folded his arms as he made his way along with Saburo Soutaichou and Kyohaku Taichou. Apparently the man had 'better' things to do than listen in on the events of Seireitei. He had almost forgotten all about the project Kyohaku's division was working on, and suddenly the slight fear set in on it. Would the gargantua they created allow the enemy to utilize it as well against them? He knew they wouldn't let such a thing happen, however it still worried him about creating their own version of such a portal.
"If you need any more reasearch, I think I can pull it up from records and such." Kyoko continued, keeping his eye on the Soutaichou who he was still worried about.

Saburo let out a hearty laugh at what Raul said, smiling wide. Slowly, the laughter died down enough and he was able to respond to Raul's comment. "A wartime situation and a Captain's meeting still isn't important enough... My, I can only imagine what you'd consider important enough to do" he told him, laughing as he walked.
Smiling as he walked, he listened as they spoke about Tsukiyo's work. Perhaps if he had actually been there he wouldn't have needed to ask. Still, no point dwelling on the 'what ifs'. Looking ahead, he could see the First Division Barracks slowly coming into view and smiled. Not too far now.
However, soon he began coughing with his hand to his mouth as he walked and, as he pulled the hand away, he saw blood. Granted, half of it was from earlier but still. He probably did need to lie down and rest quickly. No doubt they might be worrying about him again.

Raul saw Saburo yet again cough up blood. "My, Soutaichou, you'll have to keep that under control. I don't want to have to start tending to you." He chuckled. He knew Sakata wouldn't mind, as Raul's jokes were always light hearted, and not meant to criticize others. "I'll know what's important when the time comes. In the meantime, Sake is also important. Would you like to enjoy some? Might help you out a bit."
He laughed again. Sakata and he had always gotten along, especially when compared to his relationship with Zuki. Kyoko appeared to be annoyed by him occasionally, but for the most part, the Captain was willing to have discussion with any other, as he could use the experience.

Zuki made an annoyed grunt. His jokes didn't amuse her one bit. "Such a lousy excuse for a captain," She muttered under her breath. Sure playing around and joking was fine occasionally but enough was enough, war time orders were set by Central 46 and the last thing the Soul Society needed were lazy and out of action captains. Nobles and captains were the set for the Soul Society, Raul was lucky enough to be both and he abused it.
Sakata coughed up blood again. She turned to look at him. "Are you alright, Sir?" She asked, completely ignoring Raul's comment. "We'll be there soon, then you can rest." She turned around and walked a closer to Raul. "You have a brain in you head, at least that's the way it seem, though one can never be sure in your case, but I'd suggest you use it."

Kyoko wondered what Raul thought was exactly important, however he seemed to be slightly sensative to the Soutaichou's illness, although very faintly. He seemed to enjoy joking more than anything. Here he was a Captain and a Noble yet he didn't seem to be providing an example to anyone. It seemed almost a disgrace.
"Soutaichou, you should really get some rest...and perhaps some of your favorite tea." The thought came up to try to comfort the Soutaichou's predictament. He looked back to see him still strugling slightly with his illness. "Raul, don't get me started with Sake..." Kyoko's voice grew slightly bitter. "I have to deal enough with incidents related to that cursed drink everyday." He folded his arms slightly in disgust.

Recovering from his coughing fit, he looked at them and gave them a reassuring smile before speaking. "Don't worry, we're nearly there so it's alright. although, I could go for some tea" he spoke as he continued walking forwards.
Hearing Raul's joke, he laughed for a moment before responding. "It's alright, you don't need to tend to me" he told him. "Nah, I already had some earlier" he admitted, having actually drank sake earlier.
Watching as some Shinigami from his division came out, he smiled and looked at the others for a second. "See you all later, I'll go take a rest" he told them before walking off with his subordinates, heading back to his bedroom in the barracks.
