Raul smiled at her. "Raul Shihouin." He responded, shaking her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He laughed. "Zuki decided to visit you all, after learning of Amon getting accepted into the Academy. I'm glad to hear it." He said, briskly.
Looking around, he thought for a moment. "So, how about we celebrate this reunion over a cup or two of Sake? This is certainly a..." He was about to say joyous, but noticing the tension, he backed off a tad. "Well, we've gotta drink to his success in the Academy. I'm looking forward to seeing him progress..."

Azuna glared at him with squinty eyes. "So you're the head of the Shihouin clan. I would've expected you to be a bit...younger..." She crossed her arms. "Well, I would've also expect my cousin to be more responsible but I things aren't always as you expect them to be." She pouted.
"Yeah, yeah. We've been over this HUNDREDS of times Azu. I'm Head of Research and Development! We're not a fighting squad!" Zuki looked exasperated.
"Well you mother wasn't in a fighting squad! I rest my case." She smiled triumphantly. "You're back! You're back! You really are back! You don't know how much we all worried about you but you're finally back! I'm so happy! I have to go tell everyone!"
"Except your brother."
"Yeah, except my brother, I know." She jumped around Zuki. "But you really are back!" She hugged the other woman. "I cannot believe it!"
A dark figure stood in the doorway. "Zuki-hime has returned."
"Hey, I didn't tell my brother. Amon must have," Azuna left the room past the figure, waving goodbye.

Raul was taken aback by her comments. He had always thought himself to look quite young. This was almost offensive. He shrugged it off. Hearing a voice, he nearly flinched. If Zuki didn't want to see her brother, there must be a reason. And that reason was about to be revealed. He didn't react in such a manner, however.
He walked over to the figure, extending his hand. "Hey there, the name's Raul Shihouin, it's great to meet you." He awaited the handshake. "Perhaps sake is in order for this reunion, as well? After all, it's refreshing, and tastes great!" He said, trying to lighten the atmosphere...

Zuki slowly turned around. "Yep."
"I was kind of hoping an alligator might eat you but obviously my wishes were not fullfilled." The man walked in right past Raul. "I'm not going to ask how you are because you'll say 'fine' just to thwart me and I'll have to burn something, preferably the voodoo doll I made of you."
"That's nice Seiji. It's good to see you too!"
"You lie."
"Yep."
He turned to Raul. "People always ask why everyone in this family is so stunningly gorgeous except Zuki and we have to simple tell them that she's adopted, but that she'll be head of the clan so they better be nice." He crossed his arms.
"Yeah, and then we get to explain to them how wonderful your face looks after I slam it into a wall," She cracked her knuckles. "Shut up you arogant pig." She pushed at his shoulder. "If I wasn't adopted Sei would be head of the clan when mum and dad died, but poor him. You lose."

Raul started, acting surprised. "Wait, you mean you were going to be the head of the clan? But I suppose a woman beat you to it. That's gotta sting, I feel for you. Well...actually, I don't, but you take my meaning..."
He laughed. "You know, I always thought Zuki was pretty damn beautiful. But then, what do I know? Head of the Shihouin clan, I obviously have little experience with women. You've got me there, since you're head of the...wait...." He paused, rubbing his head. "Another little mistake on my part, I'm afraid. My apologies..."
He didn't like this man. He acted like he was god's gift to the earth. Raul could explode on him, like he had done with her father. Actually, he was tempted to. This boy seemed even worse than that man. But he would refrain, for her sake...

Zuki blinked a few times. Raul had been standing up for her a lot that day, not to mention he was probably driving Seiji insane, which was a good thing. He was jealous of her and the whole clan was so very aware of it. Not all of them liked her, Seiji just hated her, and she had to admit that he had good reason too. She stole his spotlight completely. He didn't have enough reiatsu or power to be a shinigami so the only thing that comforted him was the fact that as the Head of the Clan's eldest nephew, he'd be Head. For some odd reason he acted as if it was her fault, but she was easy to forgive, he wouldn't blame his Aunt of Uncle so she was the obvious choice.
Seiji waved his hand in arogance. "If you must convince yourself that my cousin is anything but dowdy and weird than go ahead, I'm not here to stop you." He decided to ignore Raul's snarky comments on his rank. Raul Shihouin could think whatever he wanted, just because he was from one of the higher noble families didn't mean he was a better person.
"You're so annoying Seiji."

Raul sighed. "Dowdy and weird? Honestly, I'm sure you could come up with something better than that." He shook his head. "Nothing is more pathetic than someone who blames others for something that was never under their control. Zuki did not choose to be adopted. I'm sure she doesn't mind, but the fact remains, she didn't choose. Therefore, why give her hell for it? The point is, about a week ago, she saved my life. She's served Soul Society honorably, moreso than even myself. She, above all, deserves a position of power, and who are you to deny that? At this point, it is beyond argument. She has earned her place amongst nobility. You, however, can earn it in another why. Through speech, kindness, and chivalry. You speak, but I've yet to hear kindness or chivalry..."
He awaited the comment. Raul grew tired of this bickering, but he couldn't just desert Zuki. He knew he'd want someone to support him if he were in this position...

Zuki smiled awkwardly. "Really Raul, he's just an insignificant little bug, no need to get defensive." She wrung her hands. "Besides, I'm sure that he's just insecure and alone, he has no special talent and everything that was rightfully his was taken away from him. Deep inside he is greiving...poor kid." She shook her head sadly.
"I'm fifty years older that you!" Seiji crossed his arms in a pout. "You're so unfair Zukinii-chan (Zucchini-chan)!" He stuck his tongue out at her. "I am not an unstable being."
"Well I'm not your brother or a vegetable! That nickname was not intentional! That is SO not funny Seiji!" She stuck her tongue back out at him.
"Um...yes it is...It's not my fault your name can easily be converted into a food, though I dunno who like zucchinis anyways." He looked at Raul. "And as for my cousin 'saving you' I heard it was the other way around. My uncle is in the Central 46, remember? If something happens I'm the first to know."
"Not a vegetable..." Zuki muttered to herself.

Raul laughed. "And we all know Central 46 gets everything right. After all, Aizen and company didn't blindside us at all." He smirked. "Just because I was the one standing, doesn't mean I saved her." He laughed. "Zukinii? I have to admit, that's a pretty funny one." He laughed harder, tearing slightly. "Though, seriously, mate. Is there any Sake around? You know, for a celebration? Even if it's a one man celebration, it works for me..."
He looked around, sniffing the air, as if he were searching for it. He'd spent too much of the day acting proper. Now was his time to truly be what he wished. The alcoholic, yet entertaining, Raul...

Zuki lowered her head. "Alright. First off, Seiji, shut up, your voice is whiney and annoying. Raul you drink to much, it makes you even more awkward in situations than you are anyways. And the constant asking for Sake? Oh come one man! Get a grip! Would it kill you to go 30 minutes without a drink!" She paused. "Don't answer that. As for the nickname, let's not go there, unless, ya' know, y'all don't want your noses on your faces anymore. If that's the case then please go on." She placed her hands on her hips.
"You're so uptight. Loosen up." He turned to Raul. "If my sister let me keep Sake around I would but um, well Azuna is almost uptight as Miss.Vegetable here!" He patted Zuki's head. In truth, he didn't hate her, yeah he despised her and everything she did but she was still his baby cousin. He had to admit, a lot of people didn't like her, granted she usually gave hem reason to but she did deserve more credit than most of them gave her.

Raul shrugged. "I'm sorry. It's simply my nature." He sat on the floor, sighing. "Tell me something. Why is it that you all seem so uptight. We've gotta relax. We're here, in this wonderful place, and there's gotta be some Sake around. We could all pitch in and look for it." He continued on, knowing that Zuki must be getting annoyed by his obvious mocking of her.
Still, it served a purpose. If he toyed with her, they'd both get some form of enjoyment. Him from acting like an idiot, and her from reprimanding him, he supposed. They'd need to enjoy themselves. In a few small days, they would be journeying to Hueco Mundo. There, no joy, nor jokes would follow. They would be all business, on their mission. And Roren would be returned...

Zuki tossed her head back and...laughed. She had to admit that Raul could brighten up someones day. She put a hand on her cousin's shoulder. "Just find the man some Sake. We'll be needing the field for some expiriments soon, might as well make him happy." She pushed him towards a door into another room.
"Since when were you allowed to order me around!" He crossed his arms. "And the field? Why would you need the field?"
"Since, like, ever. And we need the field for shinigami stuff. YOu wouldn't get it, now shoo, your presence is unwanted." Pushed her hand towards the door. "Or do you want me to tell Azuna who stole her favorite dolly all those years ago? Scram."
He grunted and opened his mouth to speak before shutting it again. "Fine." He left the room, slamming the door behing him.

Raul smirked, as she spoke. He always got what he wanted, if he really went for it. As the door slammed, he chuckled. "You've certainly got an entertaining family, Tsukiyo." He said, mocking her by using her full name.
He stretched, stumbling over to a nearby cushion, and planting himself on it. "So, we'll be performing the....operation here?" He questioned, aware that, knowing this family, there were likely to be eavesdroppers about. He'd have to watch himself, though after a few bottles of Sake, he might find that hard.
"How fitting. You come to visit your family, and then use this land to perform the deed. It's quite funny, actually..."

Zuki nodded, sitting down herself. "Basically. My family owns vast amounts of land so I decided that the best place would be here, besides, we won't have trouble with spying here, well...not if I threaten them. You'd be surprised the secrets members of my family try to hide from other members. Naturally I know them all," She leaned back on her hands. "That's the name of the game."
Zuki knew she could easily use her families land and she didn't really want any shinigami getting in the way. That could be problematic in many ways. It was easy to, she didn't need to search for a space or get permission to use a space 'cause technically it was hers, well almost but she used it whenever she wanted. "So...are you ok with using my land, well, my family's land?"

Raul considered it. "I don't mind as long as your family is fine with it. After all, we are opening a portal to Hueco Mundo on their land. That would be tough for anyone to accept." He sighed. "We could use my land. I'm already head of the Clan, after all..."
He had already intruded enough of the Kyohaku's. He did not want to stir up too much trouble between Zuki and her family. "Either way works for me, we'll do it soon, perhaps in a couple days, I suppose..."
