Zuki raised an eyebrow, though she wasn’t much surprised. “Good suggestion, and thanks for the offer, I can’t think of anyone else who has bankai and the time and knowledge to do that,” She shrugged. “Because of course we would only want people from our division involved.” She straightened the bun in her hair. “Alright, so if it is a matter of having bankai we still need to access the path, but how exactly would we go about doing that in a manner that wouldn’t cause catastrophic events?” She thought for a moment.

Roren twiddled his thumbs. "Well, we focus kido through focus. I suppose focusing the raw power of such a feat would be more difficult, but provide more results than kido. Thus, I suppose the user must at least have some skill with kido, which rules out most members of the 11th Division. Also, we're not sure how long the gateway will stay open, so we should be prepared for that..."

“I think you’re making it more complicated than it truly needs to be,” Zuki sighed. “Not that that isn’t a possibility just than your jumping quite a few stones in the process. Sure if we used energy to open the gate, energy such a kidou than maybe it would work but that still doesn’t tell us how to perform the task in general.”
She blew a piece of hair out of her face. “Of course some sort of kidou would be needed in the opening of such a gate but before we can test that theory we must decide what type of spiritual energy and revolving at what speed if necessary. It is completely logical that kidou would be needed in the use of such a technique but before we worry about the how we must worry about the what.”
She scribbled a diagram on a piece of paper. “This in the Soul Society, this the human world and this is Heuco Mundo. The spaces in between are the gates we would move through, those are the pathways we use when we enter a Senkai gate. Now, as I remind that the Garganta tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway. First step is tear open the demensional fabric of the worlds then we would have to worrying about solidifying the energy and making it into a pathway. Kidou can come in handy both places.
“To tear open he demensional fabrics of the world you would need a high energy amount of kidou, most likely. Even just having an amount of energy that large and powerful in the area would be dangerous for any surrounding beings, but, if we could compress a semi-large amount of energy into a small amount of energy not only would it double or maybe triple in power but it would be a lot safer in any enviroment. Then there would be the problem of tearing a hole in the demensions, but that should be fairly simple if you just look at the basics of many different inventions, what do you think?”

Roren nodded. It was true, when one compressed energy, it normally became more potent in the area which it now took up. Therefore, if they only used half of the energy needed to use Garganta, and compressed it to half of its size, it would equal the full amount. "I think you're pretty much right. So, if we are able to transmit a slightly large amount of energy, and compress it, perhaps it will be enough to tear open the space we want..." He sighed. "This is all so complicated, so many variables to consider. I do wish others had thought about this before us..."
He was sure that one man had, however. His idol, Kisuke Urahara, had to have thought of it. After all, it seemed as if the man had so many inventions, Soul Society would be doomed without him. He must have thought of it...but Roren doubted he ever wrote or handed down his notes...

“Yes, it could most certainly be enough to create the pathway we need, and people have looked at it before, just haven’t left any information,” She sighed. “Anyways, that’s not any of our business now, we just need to figure out how to harness that energy in away that would allow us to create that path.” She wrung her hands. “Alright, so we have basically concluded that you need a high level of energy to form this pathway but we need to figure out how. Roren, you know a lot about Urahara who was one of the greatest captains this squad has ever known, what do you think he would do in these circumstances.”
Almost everyone in the squad knew of his obsession with the famous inventor/scientist, it was just natural to ask him about the man for he probably would have an answer for your question. She wasn’t sure about this one though. Urahara was a smart man, so was her former captain, Kurotshuchi Mayuri, smart if nothing else. She had gained that knowledge, or most of it. If neither her former captain nor Urahara Kisuke had completely and successfully figured out the logic behind this technique then they would certainly have a hard time, not to either of their knowledge.
She smiled in pride. Her lieutenant was smarter than most captains, and she was his captain. Not only did that prove her knowledge but it proved that under her instruction he had become brilliant, she wondered if her former captain had felt the same way about her, though she was nearly certain the answer was no. “Before you answer that I’d like to point out that Kisuke Urahara most likely did not know the completion of this formula and that I’m just asking what he would do in the situation. We COULD experiment until we found the correct form or we could look at what the past captains have done, such as Urahara and Mayuri-sama. Now, from my knowledge, testing this technique of a random hollow or forcing a being to test it for you most likely isn’t the way to go, neither is putting the secretly conducting experiments that could put the soul society at risk.” She laughed a bit at the memories. “So what do you think.”
She had an idea that it would be possible to secure a training ground a fool around a bit with the idea, but that would waste a lot of energy and there would probably be some new craters around and about but the idea wasn’t completely out of the question. Or they could devise a formula then go try it, but what fun was that? Whoop dee doo dah day, sounds boring, but if ends came to ends that might be what they would have to do, no matter how boring it was. While she was thinking how to perform the technique she realized that not everyone had great energy control, like herself. A lot of people would probably just have trouble making and compressing the energy. She rubbed the back of her neck. Even with the solution they had come up with, only a select few would be able to perform the task, which makes things much harder.

Roren pondered this for a moment. What would Captain Urahara do? That was a tough one. Roren had never attempted to put himself into the great inventor's shoes, considering this almost the same as blasphemy. He was never as smart or creative as Urahara had been, and thus, imagining himself working like the man was something to get used to...
"Well, Captain Urahara would definitely not be sitting here thinking about what others did. He thought outside the box, which is one of the reasons that led to his exile. He would think of unorthodox methods, because, obviously, the current methods don't work. My guess would be that he would start with the least likely solution, and go from there, just to be sure he wasn't wrong." He sighed.
He got up, and walked to the other side of the room. "To be honest, sometimes I wish Urahara was still living. There are oh so many questions I would like answered, and, no offense Captain, he was probably the greatest scientist in Soul Society's history. I've read his public notes, but none of that involves what I'm interested in, stuff like this. Stuff that hasn't been tried yet. I'm sure that, if he were here, he would tell you to rely on your own instinct, not on what Soul Society has told us about the subject, and, if that fails, to rely on other's instincts, and listen to them."
He looked around at his underlings, and smiled. "As much as some of these souls may be misguided, and as much as not all of them are as smart as we are, we are blessed with some of the greatest minds in all of Seritei. We should probably work on this thing starting from the top, and going down. So, you'll present a hypothesis, I will, then our third seat, and down. Then, we'll formulate one overall hypothesis based on all of these, and test it. That way, we know that one's bias, or ego, is not getting in the way." He laughed. "We should probably make it anonymous, actually. I know that, way back when, I used to think whatever YOU did was right, but now, I'm willing to prove you wrong. And I'm sure some of them think that way of you..."
He knew his Captain was the greatest mind of her generation, for sure, but he also knew that even the most intelligent have been wrong in the past. Mayuri was beaten by a Quincy boy, Urahara created the Hougyoku, we all make mistakes. He glanced at the Captain. She had yet to make her's, but he was sure it would come. And when it did, he would be there, to correct it for her...

Zuki laughed. “Believe me, we all have our ups and downs.” She closed her eyes with two fingers. She didn’t want to involve her whole squad, that would be to dangerous, for them. Maybe up to 4th or 5th seat but that at most. The more people knew the more danger they were in, she knew that by experience. Zuki had always thought outside the box, her own past experience had taught her to, and it had caused her trouble, as it had cause Urahara trouble. She stood up and walked over to him. “I’d like to keep this whole project to just us and a few worthy ranking officers. Not that I don’t trust my squad just that they have other tasks to fulfill, and you have to admit it, they can talk, a lot.” She said in a low tone. “Knowledge is dangerous Roren, you must learn that. It’s gotten me in trouble and many others too, such as Kisuke. I don’t want these minors to be in danger.”
She blinked a few times. Not only could she not understand what she was saying but she didn’t know why she cared, as most people knew she wasn’t a warm friendly person, which this chat had contradicted, though she knew it was just her love for information.

Roren smirked. "Knowledge? Dangerous? I'd beg to differ, ma'am. Knowledge may lead to danger, but it is not, in itself, dangerous. Knowledge has only brought me joy in the past. The joy of invention. The joy of discussion. The joy of being in this division..." He laughed a bit, and then looked at the younger members of the squad. Actually, most were older than him, but simply lower in position. Roren was a prodigy, and, as such, had met with opposition when he first joined the division.
He looked at the seventh seat. He had gotten into a bit of a scuffle with this man in the past, over who's theory was correct. The Captain had put an end to it, but Roren felt as if it wasn't truly over. Over the next weeks, the man had sabotaged every invention or note that he took, when he could. It got to the point where Roren finally confronted the man, calling him a 'sniveling son of a bitch', and breaking his nose. The man apparently gained some respect for him after that, as they often had little chats now.
Roren's gaze was now unfocused, he was daydreaming. Knowledge? Dangerous? How could this be? The Captain was usually right, but...Roren couldn't see how this was even possible. He wished he could make her understand his point. He didn't CARE what happened to him. The information he gathered...the legacy he left behind...that was all that mattered. If he could make life for the spirits in Soul Society easier, he could die happy. If he could help his friends, all the better. What he would make sure never happenned...would be letting someone get hurt because...he didn't know...

Zuki smiled. She didn’t believe it at first when her captain told her the exact same thing, but she knew he would learn, as she had. She looked around at her subordinates, most of whom were working vigorously. She looked at two who were fooling around, unseated officers. She glared at them. “I’m ignoring that.” She muttered to herself. “They are SO lucky I’m in a fairly good mood tonight. Meh, never mind, they ruined it.” She stormed over to the two, fist clenched, fuming with rage. Though the two boys were taller than her, intimidation was on her side.
She smacked both of them upside the head and reprimanded them for not working. “Just go to bed if you can’t work properly.” She pointed to the doorway and they hurried out, eager to get out of there. She straightened herself again and walked back to Roren. “If you have any information to prove me wrong then I’d love to hear it, but until then let’s assume I’m correct. M’kay?” She smiled sweetly as if nothing had happened.

Roren laughed. "You do rule us with an iron fist, don't you? Well, I suppose we do have to work correctly..." He thought for a moment. "Well, I don't suppose I could prove you wrong, I simply know you're wrong." He said, playfully. "Sometimes things don't manifest physically, but their presence is there. This is one of those answers." He walked around her, sizing her up. "After all, Captain, who's the smart, handsome young Lieutenant? In all of the typical dramas, the underling has to warn his superior of a coming danger, but he is NEVER listened to..." He grinned widely. He respected his commander, and was polite, but he loved to see her reaction when he whipped out a comment such as the above...

Zuki smirked. “Oh really?” She followed him with her eyes. “Well, if you’re the smart, handsome, young lieutenant than I guess that makes me the intelligent, heroic and stunningly beautiful captain who risks her life to save them all at the last minute,” She laughed. “Only in stories.” She put her hands on her hips. “Watch you’re tongue, Roren or may get a taste of the iron fist I rule so cleverly with.” She frowned, “Now look what you’ve done, you’ve gone and put me n a semi-good mood, that’s a good thing for you.”
What happened to the whole ‘no interaction with human beings’, didn’t we make that deal? A voice purred in her ear. Sure leave we did, but it’s my choice, I’m not a piece of metalShe cooed in return. Yes, well, zanpakutos have feelings too you know.. The voice pouted, so just step off your high and mighty throne already. I’m high and mighty? You obviously need an attitude check. Yeehaw, I’m Zuki Kyohaku. I was a rebel when I was younger but I was smart than everyone else because I’m perfect. But I’ve got a secret that you don’t know! I was supposed to go to-Shut up! The past is the past so go away, I banish you from my thoughts.
The presence left. Zuki sighed, it was quite annoying when your zanpakuto kept whispering in your ear, annoying indeed. “So you say I’m just wrong? There’s an interesting verdict if I’ve every seen one.” She smiled. “But fine, if you don’t have anything to back it up then I’ll assume I’m right and you’ll assume you’re right! There, brilliant plan of action.”

Roren frowned. The Captain had seemed distracted for a few moments, which was unlike her. "Very well, then. Either way, we should proceed on with the process. So, any final thoughts on Garganta? Especially the whole 'us being killed in the process' part. I'd really prefer if we were in the clear on that one." He laughed, but he was serious. The most important thing during an experiment was knowing what you could do to lessen your chances of dying a gruesome death. And since Roren would most likely be the first to test it, he wanted to be sure they had a semi-clear picture of how this was going to work...

“Well I can’t make any promises that you won’t die in the process, but that’s a risk we can take if you want. If anything does go wrong we could put a barrier around the area, either before or after you get out. If it were before though then we would assure that you could slip out with ease, but we I mean myself, this would be too dangerous to have any subordinates around. Besides, they have others things to do. But again, are you sure you want to go through with this? There are other people with bankai out there you know, you don’t have to.” She didn’t want to belittle him but she also didn‘t want a good shinigami that she absolutely needed in this case to go off and get himself killed. Then what would she do? Fail probably.
“I realize that that’s an odd question and if I know anything about pride I know that you’ll say that you’ll comply, but please, don’t answer on a whim. We can only solve this if we work together, and if you die, then the chances are I fail.”

Roren smirked. "You? Fail? Pfft, I don't think so, Captain!" He waved an arm at the idea. "Besides, I wouldn't let anyone else try this. I'm not a Captain, and I know Bankai. Plus, I have enough knowledge to complete the experiment. I'm your perfect candidate, Captain!" He extended his arms, presenting himself in a rather prestigious way, as if he were a magician opening an act.
"So, if you take care of the barrier, I can take care of the procedure. You be the brawns, and I'll be the brain!" He grinned widely. It was getting late, yet he showed no signs of being tired. Roren would stay fully awake as long as the Captain needed him, and sleep lightly, lest she require his assistance again...

Zuki laughed. "You the brains and me the brawns. That sounds opposite compared to real life. Alright, I suppose, but if anything happens that makes me completely responsible, so please don't let anything happen," She smiled. "Jeesh what time is it, barely anyones here anymore." She rolled her eyes. "They're all such slackers, but in return they're smart slackers. Oh well. Roren, are you one of those people who believes eveything can be explained with science?" She asked. "Just wondering, ya' know. I mean, those people annoy me sometimes...especially if it's your dad...and your on a weekend trip with your boyfriend..." She mumbled and her voice faded off.
Zuki looked around. Three or four people were still in the room. She noticed they were fading off into sleep, one was actually sleeping on his work. She grimaced. Zuki walked over to the man, pulled the paper out from upder him, put a pillow in it';s place and walked back. "Nasty."
