It was time. The female arrancar carefully unlocked the door and opened it. If anyone heard her she could easily be killed, she needed to move with great stealth. If all turned out well she would be fine, for the time being, but if she was caught, she’d get to that when the time came. She walked into the dim room and shut the door behind her. There was a table like thing and upon it was a figure, a man, though he looked more like a beast after all he had been through. The woman was not one to show pity but the man looked absolutely horrible, it was a sad sight. She crossed silently over to him, making only a dull sound on the hard floor. Her heart pounded.
What was she doing? She couldn’t believe what her heart told her to do but she needed revenge. In front of her was the man that just a short while ago she would’ve so easily killed, so easily hurt, so easily tortured to above all recognition of who he was, but not now. Maybe it was because she had changed, or because she had been changed. Maybe it was because for once in her life Taka Kasai felt, well, human. She put a hand by her head. “Shinigami. Wake up.” She shook him a bit. “Shinigami. Do you want to escape?”

Roren woke, roughly, from his slumber. "What the hell..." He commented, upon the first prompting. His slumber had been induced by pain, but he was enjoying it. That bastard of a Shinigami had tortured him for hours upon hours, never ceasing. Always thinking up new ways to hurt him. Roren hardly looked like himself anymore. His one scar had been multiplied to many. He was missing several fingers, and his right arm was limp. He could not use that hand for anything, could not even move it.
"Why are you here? Here to hurt my pride? Rub salt in my wounds? You still won't get any more information..." However, upon hearing her last few words, he wondered. But then, what could she gain from this apparently act of treason? "Bullshit. You don't want to help me. This is all a trick, to give me hope, and crush it at the same time..."

Taka shook her head. "I expected as much. I'm not here to hurt you anymore shinigami. I know I've hurt you in the past and now, I guess I'm sorry for it. But I myself have been hurt. I need you to help me get revenge. Just listen, I'll tell you our plans then you must go back to the Soul Society and inform your people. You just have to trust me, I'm going to set you free." She looked down at him. "Rangis needs the Hougyoku, he knows where it is. He's going to send some Vizard and our fastest Espada. I'm not sure when they'll spring this attack but if they get their hands on that device, well, Soul Society will lose for sure."
She knelt by his head. She had no regret for what she was doing. They all deserved it, when the time came she might come back to take Kyoko, the only deserving one, with her. Taka unsheathed he zanpakutoh and rested the tip on one of his bonds. "Stay still." She put down, shattering it. She moved to his other hand and did the same thing. "I'll open a Garganta for you. As for me, well, I'll have to flee into the Menos Forest. It won't be safe for me here anymore."

Roren's eyes widened in shock, as he heard what she was saying. "But...you're a Hollow. I'm a Shinigami. Throughout the ages, we've hated each other. Why on earth would you help me?" He rubbed his wrists as the bonds broke, and stood, removing the bonds on his ankles.
He nodded. "Well, perhaps not all Arrancar are bastards. But then, don't expect me to go easy on any of your kind that oppose us. And, if this is a trick, don't expect me not to kill you..."

She smirked. "No worries, I wouldn't have expected anything less." She sighed. "I already told you shinigami. I've been hurt and I want revenge. Rangis, the King of Hueco Mundo, betrayed me. This is the way I chose to get back at him. It doesn't matter if our species have battled for centuries but right now I don't hate you and whether or not you hate me is your decision." She resheathed her zanpakutoh.
She didn't think the shinigami would like her or respect her or trust her after this. Of course he wouldn't. He was supposed to be the smartest man in the Soul Society so why would he? It'd be stupid. "So what is your answer shinigami." She knew this probably wouldn't put her on good terms with the Soul Society, after all she had assisted in the kidnapping of one Captain and almost killed another. No, they'd still be enemies.

Roren thought for a moment. "Fine, open the Garganta." He waited for her to open the portal. "You know, you could come back with me. If I tell them you're acceptable...I'm sure we could work something out. Especially after you saved my life." He glanced at her. "I don't trust you, but one good turn deserves another..."
He sighed. He shouldn't trust her, shouldn't offer her anything. But she helped him. She was helping him get back to the only thing that mattered to him anymore. Soul Society, and its inhabitants. Surely, that deserved something...

She shook her head. "No no." She lifted up her left pant leg showing hinm the deep gash in her leg. "This woundcan only be healed by one thing and it is in the Menos Forest. If I want back with you I might die." She began to open a Garganta. "Though I appreciate the offer, Soul Society is no place for an arrancar." She finished opening the Garganta. "Tell Raul Shihouin that I expect a rematch next time we meet. He is currently my most formidible opponent seeing as the other people in the Hell Hole are worthless." She sighed.
"If you need help getting through the Garganta to Soul Society I'd be willing to go with you. Who knows how long it'll take them to catch on and I don't want you to get recaptured anytime soon." She looked at him. This shinigami was in really bad shape and if he didn't make it back to Soul Society then all her efforts would be to no avail. She would have to be quick too if she wanted to get to the zanpakutoh before Rangis. True, the girls in the group had always been faster than the boys but she couldn't take any chances.

Roren shook her off. "I can get back on my own..." He said, beginning to walk to the portal. "I don't need your he-" His leg gave out, and he fell. He tried to catch himself, but his right arm was still completely unusable. He fell flat on his face, throwing his already broken nose even more out of line. "Argh!" He exclaimed, getting up.
The blood was pouring from his nose now. "You know, perhaps I could use help..." He gasped a bit. "I might not want it, but I may just pass out from blood loss before I get there...."

Taka rushed to his side. "Alright then, I guess that answers my question." She scooped him up. "I can't risk being slow. I've got places to go." She stood up. This had to work, she had barely any time. She looked down at the bleeding man, her clothes would be so bloodstained after this but she didn't have time to think about it. Helping a shinigami was hard enough for her but she thought of it more as helping herself.
She stepped into the Garganta. She paused. Did she really want to do this? Yes, she did, she most certainly did. Second thoughts were bad, she knew so from expirience. She shook them from her mind. She looked back over her shoulder. This was probably the last time she would see Las Noches for a very long time. She had everything she needed; zanpakutoh and three personal items, each representing a person. She closed the Garganta behind her.

Roren was picked up by the Arrancar. If Raul saw this, he would have never let Roren live it down, but Roren had to swallow his pride. As they stepped through the Garganta, he lost consiousness. He'd be back soon, he supposed...

Taka ran towards the Soul Society as fast as she could. She knew exactly where she was going. She delicately held the now unconsious boy in her arms. If Rangis ever found out about this she knew he's never let her forget it but that wasn't her problem now. Surely enough the Shinigami would notice an arrancar and her garganta in their midst. She kept running, her feet barely hitting the ground before they left again. She was almost there, she knew she was almost there. She just had to keep going.
She looked around, the normal practical blackness of this place welcome her, surrounding her on all sides. It was a normal feeling. She stopped, finally they had arrived at where she wanted to drop him off. She opened another Garganta, leading into a scene of labratories, most heads already turned her way.
"Taichou! Taichou!" Yells came from the group as they grabbed their zanpakutohs. A young woman came bounding down the stairs. It was the girl from earlier, the blond one who had been lying on the ground most of the time. Taka couldn't help but smile at the familiar face. She had a feeling that the boy was lying and now she had proof.
"Your lieutenant is here!" She called to the woman. "Come take him!" The blonde girl crossed silently over to Taka. "Thank you, Taka Kasai." They did not need to exchange words for they both knew that Taka has disobeyed her kind for this. Zuki took Roren's unconsious body from the green haired arrancar.

Roren awoke in 12th Division HQ, being treated by members of the 4th. Looking around, he saw a few people there. His Captain, of course, and the other members of his Division. He wasn't sure, after all this time, and the way he looked, how exactly to greet them.
"H-Hey!" He stammered, coughing a bit. "Good to see ya!" He said, smirking a bit. He was happy to be back, but he was sure they would feel awkward, at what he had to go through. He had wanted to be the role model, the one the younger members could look up to.
But he had given in, he had told them about the Hougyoku. "Zuki...I'm sorry..." He commented, knowing full well what he had to do. He couldn't let her know that they threatened her. She'd feel it was her fault. "I told them about the Hougyoku. I had to, they threatened to kill me..."
What cowardice he must be exhibiting, but he had to. Now was not the time to be selfish. He had to be unselfish, but portraying selfishness...

Zuki looked down at him. "No no, it's fine. What's done is done, there's no changing that now. The good news in that you're back. That's all that matters now." The arrancar had left a while back. She had told Zuki everything that had gone one, everything that had been done to him. It was absolutely horrible, she could barely believe it yet she knew it was true. "You'll be fine in no time, Roren."

Taka had left a while ago after chatting to blondie about some stuff that seemed important."I didn't do it to help you stinkin' shinigami. I did it to get revenge. Be aware shinigami, if you ever come face to face with Rangis Mukondo...remember, he is more of a monster than even I could be. She rushed towards Menos Forest, if she didn't get there before Rangis then all hope was lost.
