History: Life as a Human: In life, Kyoji was considered the embodiment of honor. Not because of who he was, but because of what he was. Kyoji was samurai. However, the Hiten family was not trusted by other samurai families. The emporer had long ago charged this family to be his underhand, a family of deception and lies. In this, no other family would be able to challenge the emperor, as the Hiten family would be sure that they were too busy fighting within themselves. Zanpakutoh/Bow/Doll: Name: Hinomaru (Outline of the sun)
Type: Direct assault
Appearance: At the sealed state, Hinomaru is about the size of a tanto. Instead of being attached at the waste, like other zanpakuto, he is attached by leather rope to Kyoji's left arm. THe hand guard curves towards the blade and has a red jewell encrusted on each side, with the center of the guard holding a green emerald.
The manifested form of Hinomaru looks much like a prince. He wears an extravagent kimono and hakama. He has long black hair and red eyes and appears to be in his thirties. The house seems to have infinite room, each with dimensions measuring around 10' by 10' each. Each room contains a single item, which is representative of either an aspect of his life, something that he did, or someone he had a regret about. For example, one of the rooms contains the katana of the daimyo he was blackmailing, symbolizing not only his regret for making the daimyo suffer, but the dishonor it could have brought his family. Hinomaru will always appear near Kyoji, though if Hinomaru is trying to teach a lesson to Kyoji, he'll make Kyoji go through a few rooms in order to find him. and he always starts out in a room representative of his previous life of deception.
Shikai
Release Name: "Purify, Hinomaru"
Shikai Appearance: When Kyoji releases Hinomaru, both the blade and the sheath appear to glow with a white light then explode (though anything caught in the explosion will not be damaged, but may be temporarily blinded.) When the dust settles, The blade and sheath are replaced with black and white gauntlets, with greaves on his legs of the same color. The armor seems to conform to Kyoji's actual body with blade like protrusions pointing out of the the sides and spikes on the knuckles and toes.
Shikai Abilities:First Trial-Judgment: The left gauntlet of Hinomaru glows with a white light. At this stage, Kyoji's left hand serves as the primary focus of his reiatsu, increasing the capacity to do damage, but also increasing the amount of reiatsu he expends with each punch. In terms of post time, he can use the ability for 6 posts before having to stop the ability, or risk his zanpakutou sealing itself for several hours (real time; about 4 minutes).
Second Trial-Purity: The Right gauntlet of Hinomaru glows with the same white light. At this stage, the focus can switch between each hand at will. The power is also much higher than that of the first trial, however, it increases the reiatsu expendeture even more. In terms of post time, he can use it for only 3 posts before having to stop, or risk the same effect as the first trial. (real time; about 2 minutes) (useable)
Third Trial-Execution: The gauntlets and grieves all glow brightly. This stage is a last ditch attack, pushing all of his reiatsu into one large strike. After using this attack, Hinomaru seals itself, and he will not have the reiatsu to release it again for several hours. (Unuseable. Learned shortly before bankai)
Bankai
Bankai Name: Junseikon Hinomaru (Pure soul, Outline of the sun)
Bankai Appearance: As Kyoji utters the word bankai, a white light emanates from the armor that is Hinomaru, engulfing Kyoji in the light. It appears to take the shape of an egg, which soon starts to crack. Four large wings burst from the casing, shattering it. Kyoji's gauntlets and grieves have all but disappeared, leaving the giant red wings and Kyoji himself, who no longer wears a shinigami uniform. The uniform is instead replaced by white pants held to him by a belt along with a skin tight black shirt.
Achieving Bankai: For Kyoji, achieving bankai is a task that could be conceived to be similar to becoming a vizard. The key difference is that Kyoji must literally defeat his past. Hinomaru has set up three specific trials for Kyoji, two of which have already been passed. The final trial: Execution, involves Kyoji not only fighting himself, but the collective memories of his past life. As he goes further and further into the fight, the area around him continuously dissolves and reappears, showing visions of his past life. These are merely meant as a distraction to keep Kyoji from focusing on the true task at hand, the achievement of bankai.
Bankai Abilities: The wings on Kyoji's back serve as more than just a decoration. These large wings give Kyoji the ability to fly, allowing him to cover great distances even faster than his still impressive shunpo. Despite the speed increase, Kyoji's reiatsu becomes refined to the point that the young shinigami can give it shape, the shape of a sword to be exact. These blades appear to deal damage in a manner similar to kidou.
Mastery of the Bankai: Once Kyoji has mastered bankai, his flight becomes even greater, reaching speeds that make him seem like he's in several places at once, though this is truely just the eyes inability to keep up with such speed. He also has refined his reiatsu to the point where he can turn his reiatsu in to just about anything, a naginata, a sword, even a toothpick if he so choosed it that way.
RP Sample: It was a cold winter night, and Kyoji had become exhausted. The exile had been chasing various targets all day, not allowing himself a chance to rest. At this point, the building he stood atop allowed the only brief rest he would receive. He watched the landscape closely until he saw her. A little girl, no older than seven years old, the chain of fate attacked to her chest. 'A soul,' he thought. He watched as she ran fearfully, a huge hollow following behind. Almost nonchalantly, Kyoji dropped down from the building, landing between the two.
"Who the hell are you?" The hollow, startled by the new arrival, stopped and roared loudly the intruder's face.
"Let me ask you a question, hollow. Why do you hunt souls?" Kyoji stood up and stared into the hollow's giant eyes.
"What kind of ridiculous question is that?" the monster replied. "I devour souls for power, like any hollow should. There is no remorse in-"
The hollow never finished speaking, as the small tanto blade on Kyoji's wrist found itself on the top of the mask of the creature. "I see. In that case, your judgment has been decided. A wicked soul such as yourself does not deserve the life given to it. And now, hollow, die." At that, Kyoji brought his blade down, cutting down through the center of the mask, and the hollow disintegrated and disappeared. As soon as it was gone, Kyoji flash stepped away and disappeared from sight.
