Name: Kaishou Nagarashi.
Age: Kaishou looks about 23, but in reality he is well over 700 years old.
Height:5'9''
Weight:130
Division: Third
Rank: Taichou
Appearance:
Kaishou Nagarashi's hair is light brown, and extends to the top of his nose, succesfully covering his topaz-like eyes. The back of his light brown hair extends to the middle of his neck. His hair is usually unkempt and messy and he never bothers to fix it up right. His skin is fairly tanned. Training outside for many hours of the is what left him with his tan. Because of his heavy shinigami uniform, most of his chest and torso are still white. Kaishou's body is muscular, but by no means is he an intense muscle builder. His body is lithe and thin for the most part.
His white captain's haori is long and extends to his ankles. His sleeves stop about two inches out from the tips of his fingers. On the back of his haori is the gotei thirteen symbol, a rhombus. Inside the odd shape is the third division symbol, the marigold flower. His normal soul reaper uniform consists of the usual white kosode, the usual black kimono, the hakama pants, and a white obi sash. Inside his haori is his zanpakuto, the hilt sticking slightly out for Kaishou to grasp. Around his neck is a navy blue scarf that is tattered and ripped from many battles. He refuses to get rid of it, however.
Personality:
Kaishou is a very calm individual. He is not very outspoken and prefers to keep out of intense conversations. He likes to take things slowly especially in battle. He dodges most first attacks in battle unless his opponent won't attack at all. He prefers learning his opponents abilities, stengths, and weaknesses before going in for the kill. He is quick to draw his sword but he only uses his shikai in an intense battle. He is even more hesitant when using his bankai, and only allows his second realease to reveal itself during the last final moments of a battle.
Kaishou expects all subordinates to obey and respect him, as he did when he was a third seat officer. He feels anyone daring enough to break the rules should be swiftly punished. However, if he gets close to a subordinate, emotionally wise, he will respect them and any deciscions they make.
Alone, he is always lost in thought. His mind, though he doesn't show it, is always overactive. He can't help but think about stuff that he should put to rest. It is not wise to startle him or sneak up on him when he is lost in thought like that because you will most likely wind up with a sword to your neck. Due to letting his guard down when he is in that state of mind, he takes any sign of movement or sounds that he isn't award of as threats.
Around friends and other captains he will speak warmly and kindly to them. However if one angers him in any way he will turn sharp and hostile. He has no tolerance for anyone to speak down on him. He sees it as a sign of disrespect and he feels even captains must respect other captains.
History:
Kaishou was born in a very slum neighborhood. The residents were fairly poor, but still had enough money to stay alive. His family was also included in this way of life style. He lived with his father and mother, he was an only child. His father was the only one who had a job, his frail mother prefering to stay at home and watch over Kaishou. They were running out of money, fast, however. They didn't have enough money to support themselves, let alone their twelve year old son. So, they let him go. His father gave him 100 dollars, their ration for Kaishou for the week. They then threw him into the streets.
The next night, grief stricken, his father went out looking for him. He figured that Kaishou couldn't have gotten far as young as he was. Even if they didn't have enough money to support Kaishou, he would rather go hungry himself than let Kaishou wander the streets alone. He finnally found kaishou outside their village, in a dense forst. Kaishou had climbed up a tree and was currently stuck there. It was raining and Kaishou was using the tree as shelter. When Kaishou saw his father running up to the tree, Kaishou tried climbing down. He slipped on the wet wood, breaking his neck.
When he opened his eyes, he saw his father, sitting on his knees while sobbing. Kaishou reached his hand out, to touch his father's crying face. His hand just passed right through, however. Again and again he tried. He couldn't feel a thing. He looked to his right and saw his reason for frustration. There was a thick chain leading up to a body with a disfigured neck. He was dead.
About two months later, a shinigami finnally came to rescue him. A quick thump to the forhead by the shinigami's hilt sent him straighty to the soul society in a blinding flash of light. He wound up in the fifty-ninth district. It wasn't actually a change of pace for him, but atleast he had a home. Unlike other dead souls, Kaishou decided to live on his own. He didn't dare make any relations with another family.
While walking back to his house from a trip to a river, he wound up standing alone in the streets late at night. A drunken old man had caught him, and beat him to a bloody pulp. The next day, he decided he wanted out. There was only one way, however. The shinigami academy. And he hadn't even discovered his reitsu yet.
He spent many years training after that. He built up his muscels, his body aged. Finnally, after he was able to summon a ball of spiritual energy. He joined the academy.
In the academy, Kaishou excelled at Kido and footwork. His skills at shunpo were great, and he was able to skip incantations on low level spells. Six long years later, he graduated. He was placed in the second division, in a rather low seat since he hadn't mastered his shikai yet. After gaining his shikai, he rose up and gained third seat of the second division. He stayed there for many, many years. Hundreds in fact. After his extended stay in the second division, he gained bankai. With all requirments met, he took the captain's proficiency test. He passed and became the commander of the third division, where he is now.
Abilities: Kaishou is skilled at the use of shunpo, and kido. He can skip incantations of many high leveled kido. Even though skipping the incantations weaken the spell, no matter how good he is, he prefers it to attack quickly. His footwork is great, also. He can outspeed most captains, however he is nowhere near as fast as the great Shihouin clan.
Zanpakuto:
Name: Mizukemono.
Spirit Description:
Mizukemono in spirit form is rather large snake. It's blue in color, appearing as if its scales are made from pure sapphires. On the back of its head are two rather large spikes, one on the right and one on the left. Its spirit world is a vast ocean with a night time sky.
Sealed: In sealed form, Mizukemono is an average katana. Wrapped around its hilt is a blue clothe, and its guard is in the shape of a raindrop.
Shikai
Activation Phrase: Drown him(Him, her, them, whichever one suits the situation), Mizukemono.
Appearance: Once Kaishou exclaims the activation phrase, Mizukemono's blade shatters. The guard turns into that of a snake head with its jaws closed. Once they open, moisture in the air gathers in the mouth before forming a double-edged, sapphire blade.
Abilities:
Mizukemono's blade is made out of condensed water, and as such it can turn back into water. When it does this, it takes the form of a snake about seven inches in diamater. This snake can stretch to attack his opponent, to stangle it or bite it. Mizukemono's jaws can bite through solid concrete.
Bankai
Activation Phrase:Ban...Kai..Kaiyou Mizukemono.
Appearance: When the activation phrase is spoken, moisture in the air begins wrapping around Mizukemono at an astounding rate. Once it forms a large enough ball, about twenty stories high, it unravels to become a large snake. Kaishou keeps a sapphire blade, but it doesn't have the properties of his shikai. This large beast has a telepathic link with Kaishou, can fight on its own while Kaishou attacks with his sword. This large snake, being made of water, can absorb opponents into its body to drown them, or use its massive jaws to kill an opponent. If this snake's head is cut off, or his tail is sliced off, it can easily reform it unless there isn't any moisture in the air. This large snake can also turn into millions of snakes to overwhelm an opponent. These snakes are about the size of his shikai.

Kaishou Nagarashi stood there in the clearing of the dense forest, looking upon the high leveled arrancar infront of him. The arrancar was laughing maniacally while letting his intense rietsu leak wildly into the area around them. The high leveled arrancar was known as an Espada, and he had just challanged Kaishou to a battle. On the toned chest of the shinigami-hollow hybrid was a large, black tatoo of the number seven.
Kaishou, a captain in the thirteen court guards, was unphased by the enormous pressure of power that was pressing into him. He was looking down at the rocky soil, his light brown hair covering his eyes. The sleeves of his white captain's haori were blowing in the gust created by the opposing espada. He wrapped his thin fingers around the hilt of his zanpakuto, tugging slightly to unsheathe an inch of the blade.
"I suggest you leave this area," he gestured to the surrounding forest, "unless you feel like recieving a fatal wound."
He pulled the rest of his soul slayer from his navy blue sheathe and then held it at his side. The lightning bolt-shaped guard met the blade and clothe-wrapped hilt inbetween. It was then that Kaishou decided to meat the Espada's challenging reitsu by releasing his own in a sudden blue-colored aura that engulfed the area. The ground began to crack due to the weight of two high level souls releasing so much power.
"You really should back down now," he said while wrapping both hands around the hilt of his zanpakuto, tight enough for his knuckles to turn white. He shunpo-ed behind the espada and made a quick upwards strike, then shunpo-ed again to get about 20 feet away. Sticking to the sharpened edge of his blade were a few strands of air, no blood or any signs of a wound. He had missed.
He was now holding onto his soul-filled weapon more loosely than he had been. He had missed intentionaly to strike a sudden fear into his opponent, but it didn't look like it was working. He narrowed his eyes but his hair didn't let any clue escape that he was. His opponent didn't even try to dodge.
"Looks like I'll have to get more serious," he threatened as his reitsu exploded wildly. He gripped his sword again with and entered a battle ready stance. The reitsu began wrapping itself around his weapon, making the sword shine a brilliant white. "Strike down and shock the enemy, Dendou Sasori," he commanded to his zanpakuto. It then wrapped around his right hand, becoming a katar.
"On guard," He said as he charged at the Espada, his right hand blazing with his Shikai. He made an upwards strike, actually trying to draw blood, this time. He backed away again. He looked through his thin strands of hair to look at the damage he had caused.
