Weight: 155 lbs.
Division: 12th

Think this without the Bow, and with a Shinigami uniform, please…
Personality:
Word Count: 203
Roren’s curiosity is incredibly vast. He is very smart, which is why he chose to join the 12th Division, and help out there. He never fails to ask question after question, in an attempt to further his knowledge of a subject. He does not like battle, but will not run from one. He prefers to operate in the shadow of others, not because he is afraid of being at the forefront of people’s opinions, but because he likes to give others a chance to take the spotlight.
He very rarely feels embarrassed; he put that emotion out of his mind long ago. Thus, he will often tell people the frank truth about what he thinks, sometimes to a fault. He cannot stand sitting around and relaxing, because his mind is always restless to try out some new theory of his, or do work in general. He loves to have conversations at length, but only if that person is at least somewhat intelligent. His greatest wish is to one day visit Hueco Mundo, because he believes that there are secrets in that place which have been lost to the Soul Society, who never stray into that place.
History:
Word Count: 342
Roren died about 140 years ago. In his life, he was just as he is now, an inventor that is always tinkering with something. However, some did not see the use of his occupation. He was often pushed around by thugs and bullies, because of his intelligence, and of the way he speaks. However, he had a bright future ahead of him. He graduated from high school at the age of 15, and was working on getting his degree in college, when tragedy struck.
Walking home one day, he encountered a man, with whom he engaged in conversation. He quite liked the man, though he had been deceived. The man weaved a tale of hard luck, and why he was now homeless. Roren offered him a room at his house, feeling awful for the man, considering he had so much, while others had so little. Later that night, while Roren was asleep, the man stole all of his valuables, stabbed Roren several times in the heart, and lit his house on fire, to cover up any evidence. Thus, Roren was sent to Soul Society.
This knew place fascinated him, so much so that he did not miss being alive whatsoever. The fact that spirits came here after they died opened up so many questions, which needed to be answered. Finding out about the 12th division, and how they were the authority on science in Soul Society, he immediately enrolled in the Shinigami Academy. He quickly surpassed his peers, being both naturally gifted, and willing to work harder than anyone to achieve these goals. Yet again, he graduated sooner than expected, and completed his quest to join the Gotei 13’s 12th Division.
In this division, he was often put to grunt work at first. However, many recognized his naturally curious mind, as well as his extreme intelligence, and suggested him for promotion. He was promoted to Lieutenant soon after, and has worked diligently for them since that time.
Abilities:
Word Count: 76
He is one of, if not the smartest Shinigami in Soul Society. His research and hard work has been invaluable to the 12th Division since he first became a member. Although many focus on the above, he is also very skilled in Kidou. Though he hides it, he is able to perform most Kidou spells, and many without their incantation. In fact, he rarely draws his zanpakuto, unless he needs to.
Zanpakuto:
Word Count: 189
The name of Roren’s zanpakuto is Tenmou. It’s summon is “Hyakushutsu (Rise in Great Numbers), Tenmou. When it’s shikai is active, his one zanpakuto splits into many, as many as he wishes, and he is able to control them via his spirit energy. This gives him the option to use kidou WHILE engaging in sword combat, but also leaves him open for attack if one is able to get past the swords’ defense.
His Bankai, if you could call it that, is quite simple. He is able, through the focus provided by his skill with kido, to effect the opponent's mind. This causes them to hallucinate, yet Roren controls said hallucinations. Most of the time, he'll create doubles of his weapons or kido, so the opponent may try to block one of his swords, when, in fact, the other was the true sword. Also, his control over this is limited. He can only go so far before his opponent's mind rejects the vision, so anything unbelievable is out of the question, unless the opponent has had thoughts that this vision may happen in reality.

Roren sat in his room, thinking, as usual. I wonder...what have I done since I died? I mean, I gained a position in the Gotei 13, and improved my power tremendously, but… He sighed. Thoughts like these came often. He was constantly analyzing his own life, often to the point for he depressed himself for a bit, and was forced to go and work on something to cheer himself up.
I wanted to change the world, but that was taken from me. Now, I want to change Soul Society, and help out there. But in these past decades, I’ve done nothing but satisfy my own ego by working on pointless experiments. Shouldn’t I work on tools of war, or something like that? While he tried to convince himself, he could not bare the thought of that. If something he invented caused the deaths of others…he didn’t know how he could live with himself.
He often thought about his idol, Kisuke Urahara. When he had heard of all that Urahara had done, he felt absolutely worthless next to him. Not only was he a great researcher and inventor, but his Kidou and Zanjutsu skills were up there with the best. But some failed to see him as a great man, because he had created the Hôgyoku, but that had come from his own curiousity, and Roren had much experience with that.
He rose from the floor. He decided to find someone to talk to. Even if it was just small talk, such as about the weather, he could deal with it. He needed human contact, rather than only contact with himself, in his own mind. He did not want to bother the high ranked officials, and especially not his Captain, whom he respected above anyone else, so he would find someone else. As long as they weren’t complete idiots…he would appreciate it…
