A man made his way through the chambers of the Arrancar, sticking to the shadows. He hid his reiatsu, so no Espada could truly sense him. Smirking to himself, he whispered, "Too easy, by far."
Looking around, he chuckled. "Las Noches is even more ornate than I had suspected. Surely, I could get used to this." Turning, his partner walked slowly behind him. "Tell me, Karinne, isn't it truly wonderful to finally be here?"
He was sure of her answer. They had waited far too long to enter Las Noches, though they were not here to join the Espada, nor to destroy them. Their mission was not so bare and simple.

The girl skipped up to her friend, bubbling over with joy. "Definitely! So wonderful! And big..."She stopped skipping an looked around in awe. "I can never get used to how perfect this place is!" She leaned into towards her partner. "Whatcha's thinkin'? You've got that serious looke on your face which means you're thinking something' really important!" She put her fist on her hips and made a serious face, obviously imitating him.
She had been waitingor a long time to be here and it had finally happened! The final goal, they were so close! She had no desire to be an Espada, or even a noticed Arrancar. It was her duty to remain in the shadows for now, they was perfectly fine for her. They just had to get through unnoticed, that was their job, maybe pick up a few things on the way as well.

The man smiled. "Just thinking about revenge, and the future world order. After all, there's no way we can fail at this point. We've got friends on the inside, don't forget. Though..." He frowned, and cupped his chin, "Some of that meeting put me on edge. Some of those Espada were kinda tough, I could tell. Like that Sakirkao, or Gabriel. The King's power is incredible, as well..."
He turned to her. "Tell me, what are you thinking? I'm always the one with the plan, or the opinion. What did you think of that whole ordeal? And be honest..."

She put a finger to her lips as she always did while thinking. "Me? I was thinking 'bout what we're doing. If it's the right thing and all. I know it is, just seems kind of...dirty. I dunno, like cheatin' 'cept for a better cause!" She giggled. "You must be thinking about revenge an awful lot. I don't, it's a waste of time. And besides, revenge makes everything so dark and drab, and dark and grab is not a good thing!"
She clasped her hands together in front of her. Still looking around at the place they were in with awe. "What if someone finds us Haruaki? Then what?" She looked up at the man next to her. "You're the smart one. What would we do?"

Haruaki smiled. "Nothing will happen to us. Least of all you. The most that'll happen is the plan will succeed in front of the rest of them, rather than with subtlety." He clasped his hands together. "I can't wait for it to begin. We've been waiting for decades for this opportunity."
Walking over to a window, and staring out, he silently recalled their past. Both joyful and tragic. Soon, none of it would matter. They'd be the masters of their own destiny, one that doesn't involve betrayal or deception...

She stared out the window herself. "Yeah, I 'spose you're right." She rested her chin on her hands, her fingers interlocked making a sort of woven structure. "It's finally happening. After all these years, our dream in going to come true. Sounds just like a fairy tale."
She backed away from the window. "I always wonder how great it's gunna be. "I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Such excitment, only a few people know we're here! It's great really, maybe the Espada are duller than we thought, either that or we're really good at concealing our reiatsu. Such fun, isn't it wonderful!" She almost fell back, leaning happily against a wall.

Sitting down, and leaning his head against the wall, Haruaki sighed. "Yes, it is wonderful, but the fact is, it's not over yet. We've got a long way to go, Karinne. Don't dull your wits yet. We'll be out of this soon enough, but you're going to play an important part..."
Just then, the door creaked open. As light flooded the room, Haruaki looked around for a place to hide. He saw none near him, none that he could get to. So he sat, still as a statue, watching the door creak slowly open.
"Oh, it's you..."

Merk entered the dark room, looking around, he saw two Arrancar. He knew these two, of course. He had been working with them, in secret, for the past few weeks.
"Ah, Mister Haruaki, Miss Karinne. How are you two? Is everything going according to plan?" Staring at them, he smiled happily. He closed the door behind him, and locked it. "You'd do well to remember that these doors have locks, and that you should avoid resting in these rooms. Honestly, you can't be so dull..."
Merk liked these two. One was incredibly smart, and the other was very kind and happy. He quite liked Karinne. They got along oh so well...

Karinne nodded slight. "Hm, I understand that perfectly well. No need to worry about me." She sat down on the floor, relaxing slightly. "I'm ready for whatever happens." She put a small fruit candy in her mouth. "Lemon..yum." Karinne tilted her head back, leaning it carefully against the wall.
The small creak of the door startled her, light rushed through the room. Karinne rubbed her eyes and stared at the figure. "Merk-san! What a surprise. You really should knock though. It's only polite." She grinned at him. She didn't know the man very well but they were comrads and that's all that mattered. "And you should have better manners Haruaki, when someone arrives you don't say 'Oh, it's just you', you say 'Hello' or 'Welcome'. How rude of you."

Haruaki waved her off. "So, tell me Merk, any news on the Espada? We're going to need some information. Strengths, weaknesses, that whole deal." He didn't mind working with a Shinigami. After all, the boy seemed harmless enough, and with his help, they would be better prepared for what was ahead. He was one of their most valuable assets...

Merk thought for a moment. "Well, I don't know much about Sakirkao, but he's supposedly the strongest of the Espada. Haydn is a genius, probably even smarter than you, Haruaki. Don't try tricking him unless you've really thought it through. Gabriel's got the fastest Sonido, even faster than that of Rangis. Taka loves pain, almost as much as I do. Kyoko uses some sort of crystal as both a projectile and a defense, so be careful of that." Merk scratched his head, "Oh, and Gabriel's got a sister, too, Aurora. Her Sonido is something to be reckoned with, as well."
He looked at the two. They were powerful, that much was certain. But the question still remained as to how powerful. "Tell me, how have you been liking Las Noches? It's your first time here, correct?"

Karinne listened carefully to what all the Espada were like. Nothing to be trifled with for sure. Someone who could outsmart Haruaki was one of them? That was amazing to her, she had never met anyone who could outsmart him. It was odd. She didn't think she'd have to worry to much about Gabriel or Aurora, her sonido was fairly fast itself. Though Haruaki could outwit her any day she was probably a lot faster than him, though they never had time to test it. She thought about what Merk had said about the strongest Espada. The guy with the girly hair, if she remembered correctly.
"I really like Las Noches, it's fancy," She bit down on the candy, spliting it in half. "Do you doubt us, Merk-san? We may not look like much but don't be fooled."

Haruaki smirked. Him? Outsmarted? He doubted it. Though, he assumed Haydn was in charge of science in Las Noches. If there was one other Arrancar that could beat him, it would be that man. "Well, thanks for the information, but I think we'll be fine, Merk. After all, we've been training for this very circumstance for a while."
Though, looking at Merk, he was unsure. Was this Shinigami hiding something? Behind that smile, those cheerful eyes, did he truly trust them? He shook the thought. It didn't matter, Merk would end up dead if he didn't play his cards right...

Merk waved his hands. "I didn't mean to insult you, of course. Accept my apologies, please. But the thing is, these Espada don't pull punches. If you make a mistake, it might be your last. And I'm not going to bail you out." His eyes lost that friendly shine. "Don't try to intimidate me, you two. I'm not a pushover myself. I'll show you why I'm the King's right hand man, if you cross me."
His eyes regained that shine, and his voice lost it's edge. "Of course, it's not like I'll ever need to! You two are my friends. I knew it from the moment I met you!"

"Oh come now Merk-san, it is quite foolish to insult us. Quite foolish indeed," She smiled sweetly at him. "Another good way to get yourself killed! But don't worry, if we wanted you dead you'd be dead already! Regarding the Espada, we won't make any mistakes. I'd be more worried about how much that Primera Espada hates your guts. Don't worry about us."
Her eyes twinkled. Karinne was not a cruel person, or a mean person. She said everything, no matter how sadening or evil with happiness and joy, making everything she said seem like the right thing. A useful trick only few had. It was so easy to convince people something, just by being sweet to them, an approach that could in times be far more dangerous than an intimidating one. "Friends? Maybe. Comrads, more likely."
